It never hurts to follow-up on a mailer received in the mail from a vendor, in this case, from American Painting Inc. out of St. Charles, Il.  Its president and founder, Gary Bens, met with me at our home in Highland Park, Il. (some distance from St. Charles, but in the end, well worth the distance).  I found him pleasant, engaging, down-to-earth, and the pricing to do the exterior painting of our home well within reason (we had several quotes before meeting with Gary, so I know that of which I speak here).  He assigned Vincente and Juan to do the job and over four days, ending today, Sept. 12, 2025, they could not have been more polite, skilled, attending to our every request (not many), expert in what they needed to do (power washing first, then scraping/caulking, and then doing two coats of paint, as if they were doing their own residence).  Without getting too long winded in this review, suffice it to say that the maximum no. of stars in a review like this one is 5; based on my experience with American Painting through Gary, Vincente and Juan (even staff personnel including Dottie I communicated with via email and on the phone), if I could give 6 stars, I would---and saying this is [very] few and far between for me since I can be pretty "tough" in writing reviews for any service or product.  So to any one, whether in our neck-of the-woods or not, it would be best to at least engage in a sit-down with Gary to go over what your painting needs are, again mine was only to do all of the exterior of our home.

5 stars!! These guys were absolutely ???? did an amazing job on our exterior trim work!! I called set up a time for an appt w Gary the owner, he came out assessed the work that needed to be done and we got it scheduled and finished within a couple wks! We had American Painting back to paint two sides of the house and deck.  Originally painted in 2020.  We had them back due to hail damage.  As always a superior job!  This would be the third time we have used Gary and his services at our house.  As usual reasonable prices and top quality work.  If you have a painting/wood project planned, give Gary a call he and his team are the best!
